Dear Parent/Carer,

Happy New Year!

School Dinners and Allergies

As in every school, we have many children who have allergies. For some children nuts can be very dangerous, so can we ask that no child bring nuts into school as part of a packed lunch.

Ziz-Zag Lines

Parking on these Zig Zag lines puts lives at risks. It may save a couple of minutes of time, but it endangers children. Please don’t do it!

PTFA AGM

The PTFA will be holding their AGM in school on Tuesday 17th January at 3.30pm - child care will be provided. We will be re-allocating the roles of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, as some key members of the PTFA will be standing down next year. If you are interested in joining the committee, or just helping out, please come along, it would be great to see you.

Lost Property

Our lost property box which is situated in the porch at the front entrance is beginning to overflow. It is full of jumpers, coats, fleeces etc. If you are missing any of these items please come and check the box, as it will be emptied by the end of next week. All items will be sent to a charity shop or recycled.

Pupil Premium - Free School Meals

The Government is giving money to schools to help children from lower income families do their very best. This funding is called a ‘Pupil Premium’.

For every child registered at St Joseph’s, the school gets £488 per year.

With this money we could organise more individual tuition, increase learning support and improve learning opportunities in lots of other ways. If you are registered for Free School Meals you could also get support for school trips and have help with after school clubs.

Please ask at the school office if you think you might be eligible as soon as possible.

Celebration Assembly

There will be a celebration assembly on Monday 16th January, at 9.15am where the following children will receive a headteachers award:
