17th April, 2015.
Dear Parents/Carers,
Allergies
& Intolerances
If
your child has a food allergy and/or an intolerance, you will need to complete
an Allergies & Intolerances Referral Form which can only be accepted once
the relevant section has been signed and stamped/completed by a registered
medical professional such as a GP or Dietician OR a letter from a medical professional.
Please
note that if your child has a food Allergy and/or Intolerance they will be unable
to receive a school meal until both yourself and the School Kitchen have
received the appropriate special diet menu for your child’s allergy and/or
intolerance and supporting information from Eden Foodservice. The Allergies & Intolerances Referral
Forms are available from the School Office.

will be an after school gardening club starting on Monday 20th April
for KS2 children 3.30-4.30pm. There are
15 places available, which will be on a first come first serve basis.

Bristol Schools Swimming Competition
Four of our
children, Milly, Jake, Ruby and Nile have got through the different heats and
will now represent the school at the Bristol Schools Swimming Finals on
Saturday 25th April at Horfield Leisure Centre, started at
1.30pm. Anyone who would like to cheer
them on is welcome. We wish them luck!
New 20 mph speed limit
The new 20mph speed limit became
operative in this area on the 27th March. The project aims to
improve road safety in the city as well as have a beneficial impact on communities
and make cycling, scooting and walking to school a more attractive option.
Parking in the Local Area
Can I please ask all parents and carers to be considerate towards
residents who live in the local area when they drive and park their vehicles.
It can obviously be very frustrating to local residents when then are unable to
access driveways or if the road is blocked by cars dropping off children. Can I
also remind everybody that dropping children off in the middle of the road is
also very dangerous.
End of School Day
A new term and there are still a number of children collected late from school. The school day
ends at 3.30pm and the number of
children who are still in school at 3.40pm is a concern.
If, for an unavoidable reason, you are delayed
in collecting your child, please phone the school office to inform us.
PE Kit
Could you please send your child in with the
correct PE Kit at the beginning of next term which consists of:
white
T-shirt
navy blue or black
shorts
daps
suitable
bag for the above with a string loop for hanging.
Booking the Extended School Club
We
are only able to accept children who have been booked in advance. Please get a

final INSET day this year will be on Friday 19th
June. Please note that the school will
be closed to children on this day.
