Staff Training Days (school closed)

Our 2 remaining staff training days for this academic year are in 'dates for diaries'. Two staff training days have now been planned for September and early October and are in ‘dates for diaries' too.

Reading at Home

Reading is the most important homework that parents can do with primary school children.

It is most important that children realise that his or her parents take an interest in and value the reading experience. Remember, your child's education is a partnership between home and school.

We hope that all parents will enthusiastically encourage their children to read at home by sharing a book with them. For younger children please use their reading records to show they are reading at home.

School 5 Minute Walk Zones

Five Minute Walk Zones aim to encourage children and families to walk for at least part of their journey to and from school.  They increase opportunities for healthy exercise, reduce traffic and congestion around the school gate and improve the local environment for the whole community.

A reminder to bring your donations into school on Monday 28^th April.

School Library

Recently some books have gone missing from the library.  Would parents please check to see if their child has taken any books without the librarian’s knowledge?  If a child would like to borrow a book please see a librarian who will note their choice and let them know when the book needs to be returned. Any returned books would be very much appreciated.

After School Clubs

Regrettably, due to Mrs Hutchinson leaving, Art Club will be no longer continuing. Gymnastics and Football Clubs will be working towards inter-school competitions after this term. All established clubs will be ongoing and be at no cost. Please contact the school office to see if any places are available. As you can see, two clubs will not restart until the second or thirds weeks of term 5.

St George’s Day

On Wednesday 23^rd April, all Rainbow, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Guides and Scouts may wear their uniforms to school to celebrate St George’s Day.
