Staff Training Days (school closed)
Our
2 remaining staff training days for this academic year have been confirmed and are in 'dates for diaries'.
A staff training day has also been
planned for September and is in ‘dates
for diaries' too.
End of School Day
An
increasing amount of children are regularly being collected late from school.
The school day ends at 3.30pm. We obviously don’t mind if children are occasionally
collected late but the growing amount of children who are still in school at
3.40pm is a concern.
Rags to Riches
Our school is hosting a
fundraising event in association with ‘Rags2Riches4Schools’.
‘Rags2Riches4Schools’ is an easy and efficient way to earn
some additional cash that will be added to our school's funds through recycling
old clothes.
From baby wear
to teenage hand-me-downs to Grandad's shoes, all items of clothing and
accessories are welcome. Bags, hats, belts, scarves and gloves all count -
pretty much anything wearable. All we ask is for them to be clean and in good
condition and for the shoes to be tied together (Nobody wants to walk around in
odd shoes!). Unfortunately pillows and duvets are not accepted at this
time.
Everyone will be
presented with a free ‘Rags2Riches4Schools’ collection bag tomorrow. If a single bag is not enough, feel free to
pop them into any bag you have to hand. Please bring any donations to school
first thing on Monday 28th April, and please not before that
date.
St George’s Day
On Wednesday 23rd
April, all Rainbow, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Guides and Scouts may wear their
uniforms to school to celebrate St George’s Day.
Attendance
Well
done to the following class for their attendance last week.
•
Reception with an amazing 99%!
Reception will have a special
non-uniform day on Thursday 3rd April.
CES Adopting
Join Catholic Children’s Society Adoption, your local
adoption charity, on Wednesday 16th April at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm for an Easter
Egg Hunt to launch their 110 year anniversary celebrations. The Egg Hunt is
free to enter for anyone visiting Noah's Ark Zoo Farm (entry fees apply), and
will take place from 11.30-2.30pm. We hope to see you there! If you are
interested in finding out more about adoption please visit our website at www.ccsadoption.org
Cake Sales
We will be holding a cake sale on
Thursday3rd April at 3.30pm in the school hall. This is the same day as our
tea/coffee afternoon at 2.45pm, so parents could come in for a chat and a drink
first. I am happy to say that we now
have 3 parents who are willing to help out.
Please can children bring in donated cakes on Wednesday
afternoon or on the Thursday morning. Thanks for your support.
