Dear Parents/Carers,
A reminder that the school is closed tomorrow for a staff training day.
Temporary Teaching Assistant Posts
The school is recruiting for two
temporary teaching assistants (for 1 year from September). A Teaching Assistant
(SEN) for 8.45am – 3.30pm with 1 hour for lunch, Monday-Friday (28.75 hours a
week) to support a child with special educational needs. A part time
Teaching Assistant for 9am – 12.30pm Monday-Friday (17.5 hours a week).
Candidates are expected to have completed, or are nearing completion of, an
appropriate qualification and/or relevant experience. Please contact the
school office for an application form if you are interested. The closing
date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 26th June.
New ‘Schoolgateway’ – online
credit and debit card payments
Thank you to all the parents who
have already signed up for the ‘Schoolgateway’. Parents and carers can
now pay for school dinners and Extended School Club using this payment method.
We will be using it to pay for school trips and music tuition lessons as well
very soon. If you are having problems signing up or you just want some
help then please contact the school office and they will be happy to help
you. Problems signing up are generally because we don’t have your correct
email and mobile phone information. We would encourage you to try out the
‘Schoolgateway’, either using the app or from the ‘Schoolgateway’ website, as
it will make paying for school items quicker and easier for you and the school!
Italian Club
We plan on starting an
after school Italian Club in the new school year. This will be a weekly club
led by Mrs Searle, who is an experienced Italian language teacher. There will
be a charge for the club to cover costs and based on current interest, each session
will cost between 3.50 and £4 for an hour session.
The club will take place on
a Wednesday after school.
Please contact the school
office if you would like to sign up your child for September.
Spanish Party at St Joseph’s School -
Saturday June 20th at 12.00pm.
Regrettably this has been cancelled due to lack of
interest. A big thank you goes to the parents who worked hard to plan this
event. Hopefully we can try again at another time.
Governor Vacancies
Vacancies have arisen for a Foundation Governor.
For further information please contact Fr Paul or our school secretary with
your name and contact number and a governor will get back to you.
